Qevi Nebec, a.k.a. Dairydove Republic, is an island nation in the Atlantic Ocean. In 2026, the population was approximately 3,774,300.
Status: Independent state since 2021; previously, for over 70 years, a US state under the name Daisydove. NATO member since 2023.
Discovery: The country was "discovered" in 1669, although the city of Tunna has existed for over a thousand years.
Government: Monarchy. Emperors also existed during the American occupation, but they had no real power then. The current ruler, Emperor Aviqi Johnson, has held real power since 2021.
Ministers are called Kings of their respective subjects. The current kings are:
Linda Dayav - King of Education
Miramar Qpo - King of Tourism
Asadfi Aqaiop - King of Health
"Invisible War": Conflict with Senegal. Senegal declared its first "invisible war" in 2019 (against the state of Daisydove), and its second after Qevi Nebec gained independence (2021). In 2023, QNTV reporter Aleysha Kinviq called it a "ridiculous war that doesn't exist." Senegal claims the islands, even though Qevi Nebec is militarily stronger and protected by NATO. The Senegalese island of Kuia Hungo Skirring lies 112 km from Pairo.
Disasters:
In 1989, an earthquake flooded Qin Qui Island (14 people died; the towns of New Center and Daisydove City disappeared). In 2024, an earthquake devastated Neil Island, prompting evacuations.
